Last night for dinner, I tried a Spicy Chicken Stir Fry recipe. It turned out to be SO delicious! I loved cooking and prepping this dish for a number of reasons. First, I loved it because you can scale the spices up or down, depending on your tastes; and second, I loved this dish because everything cooks quickly in one pan, and its super easy to throw all the ingredients together!
What You’ll Need
A package of Chicken Breasts ( I used a little over 1lb.)
Salt (to taste)
Pepper (to taste)
About 1/2 a 1lb. bag of Green Beans
3-4 tablespoons of Soy Sauce
3-4 cloves of Minced Garlic
Red Pepper Flakes (a healthy amount, depending on tastes)
I started by prepping up all of my ingredients: sat everything out on the counter, minced the garlic cloves, rinsed and trimmed the green beans, and cut the chicken up into little squares.
Next, warm up the olive oil, and throw the chicken in. Go ahead and sprinkle your chicken with the salt and pepper now for a little bit of flavor, and cook until brown all the way around.
When the chicken is fully cooked, pour in the soy sauce and minced garlic; then sprinkle in your red pepper flakes. Last thing, throw in your green beans. Cover this all up, and stir occasionally. When the green beans have softened up (about 8 minutes later), you are all good to go. Time to eat!
SIDE NOTE: I served mine with white rice, but I actually thought that element turned out to be kind of gross (FAIL). However, if you prefer white rice, throw a bag of boil-in-bag on the stove in the middle of the stir fry making process.
This is definitely a dish we will be eating again. My boyfriend loves spicy meals so this was right up his alley!
Hope you guys enjoy it as well!
