So yesterday, I made a White Wine Sangria! We thought this would be great for a holiday party. We really wanted to serve some kind of party punch, but I can’t stand eggnog; and we didn’t want to serve anything red, and risk spills all over the house (that could be a nightmare!). So we thought a white Sangria would be the best choice.
I am all about a fruity drink from time to time, so I loved this Sangria recipe. I should also note that I’m usually not into white wine, but I loved this!! ❤️
What You’ll Need
1/2 cup of Sugar
1 cup of Triple Sec
1 cup of Vodka
1 Orange, sliced and halved
1 Lemon, sliced
1 Lime, sliced
1 bottle of Chardonnay
1 liter of Club soda, chilled
PRO TIP: I want to start off by saying that you should prep this up at least 6-8 hours before you plan on serving. It should all have time to chill and mingle together.
Start by stirring the triple sec, vodka, and sugar together in a large bowl until the sugar is mostly dissolved.
Next, pour in the white wine, and throw all your fruit slices in. Chill this in the fridge for 6-8 hours.
Just before serving, pour the mixture in your serving container, and mix in the club soda.
I have a large serving pitcher, with a spout on it that I like to use for serving drinks at parties. It’s minimal mess, and looks so pretty sitting out with everything.
Overall, I think the Sangria was an awesome choice; it looks so pretty with all the fresh fruit. (:
P.S. I put ice in mine to keep it from getting hot. It was sitting outside and it was 75 degrees here.
