I have really done a good job so far of sticking to my New Year’s Resolutions. Maybe better than I have ever done before. I am so proud of how well I have stuck to really building a healthier lifestyle for myself. I am consistently working out 4-6 days a week, I am eating healthier, working to be more aware of my portions, and just trying to be the best version of myself that I can be. In doing this, I am also really working to boost my self-esteem (another resolution of mine), as I just feel so much better about the girl in the mirror.
Part of my healthier eating habits have included the introduction of a protein powder into my daily life. I started out just drinking the shakes, but I decided to mix up my Sunday meal prep just a little bit, and make Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Protein Balls. Let me preface by saying I had NO idea what I was doing. I haven’t ever baked with protein powder before, so I had no idea what to expect. These are actually really good though!
What You’ll Need
2 scoops of Protein Powder
1 cup of Almond Flour
1/2 cup of Peanut Butter
1/2 cup of Maple Syrup
1/4 cup Chocolate Chips
A splash of Almond Milk (If needed)
These are literally the easiest thing ever to make! Combine all the ingredients, roll into balls, and enjoy. I improvised and added the almond milk, as I just didn’t feel like the dough was quite sticky enough. With this in mind, you may not need the almond milk. Your dough may come out perfectly sticky! And I put mine on a cookie sheet, and keep them refrigerated until I’m ready to eat.
I used my personalized protein powder from Gainful to make these protein balls, but you can use any of your favorite protein powders!!
