Supplements I Am Digging Right Now

So as a part of my newfound healthier lifestyle, I have started implementing a few supplements into my daily life and routine. Today we are going to talk about three different supplements that I am absolutely loving so far!

  1. Gainful Customized Protein Powder – I cannot brag about my Gainful protein powder enough. I absolutely love this stuff! When you initially purchase Gainful, you take a quiz online so that they are able to create a personalized blend just for your body type, and fitness goals. For me, I have a little bit of extra weight I am carrying around. I am looking to slim down, while also building some muscle tone and definition. Gainful sends a bag of my blend out to me once a month. You can choose from Chocolate or Vanilla, and you can also get different flavor packets (such as strawberry, banana, etc.) to mix in. They suggest drinking your powder with water or milk, but I like blending my mix with almond milk. I have been drinking Gainful for about a month now. While it is not so much of a meal replacement shake, it does help to tide me over between meals. In addition, I am really starting to see body improvements from my consistent exercise when paired with Gainful. I have also been experiencing significantly less muscle soreness and fatigue after my workouts.
  2. Biotin – I had heard wonderful things about the benefits of Biotin for you hair, skin, and nails. My nails and hair always seem to be really weak and brittle, so I thought I would give this a try. At first, I was a little uncertain how to best incorporate Biotin into my daily life; but after doing some research, I learned the Centrum offers a multivitamin with Biotin packed in! They are called Centrum Multigummies Multi + Beauty. In addition to getting a full range of daily vitamins and minerals, I am also taking in 2500 MCG of Biotin; all in just two little gummies (that taste so good!!). I have been taking these gummies since early December, and I absolutely LOVE them. I cannot even begin to tell you how thick and strong my hair and nails have become. It’s crazy!!
  3. Collagen – Collagen is a supplement that I have been hearing a lot about. Because Collagen has many of the same benefits as Biotin, I wasn’t certain that I needed both in my daily diet. I finally broke down last week and did a little research on the two and the effects of using both. It would seem that while they encourage a lot of the same things, they also have some distinct differences and can certainly be used in unison. Biotin is in-fact a vitamin, while Collagen is a protein. Collagen, in addition to being beneficial for hair, skin, and nails, is also highly beneficial for joint and digestive system health. Collagen has even been known to promote weight loss with a healthy diet and exercise program. I broke down and decided to give this one a try, and see how it goes. I just started taking Zint Collagen Peptides this week. I have actually been simply mixing the powder in with my protein shake. The Collagen is tasteless, and blends in easily with the protein powder. I will be sure to let you all know the final verdict on this product, but so far so good!
